Responsible Play
Dirty Whistle is designed as entertainment. It uses no real money, has no paid features, and no path to convert in-game money into real-world value. But the game deliberately borrows visual language and tension from real-money sports betting, because that's the world it's satirizing. This page exists to make sure that satire stays harmless.
If you've ever struggled with gambling
Dirty Whistle may not be a good fit for you. Even though no real money is at stake, the mechanic — predicting outcomes, watching odds, anticipating payout — can be a trigger for people in recovery from problem gambling. If you've struggled with gambling addiction or are currently in recovery, consider whether playing this game is in your interest.

Healthy play habits
Even in a free, fantasy-only game, we'd rather you played in a way that adds to your day, not in a way that intrudes on it. A few ideas:
- Make your pick once per match day — there's no reason to obsessively re-check the app.
- If you lose your run (arrest), take it as the game ending for you. Don't make a second account.
- Don't play in moments where you feel emotionally compromised, anxious, or chasing a fix.
- Don't share account credentials. Don't play "for someone else".
- If the game becomes stressful rather than fun, close the tab and come back later — or don't.
Age restriction
Dirty Whistle is 18+ only. We don't allow under-18 registrations. Parents and guardians: if you believe a minor has registered, contact privacy@dirtywhistle.com and we'll close the account.
What we do on our side
- No real-money loops. No deposit, no withdrawal, no IAP, no NFTs, no tradeable items.
- No advertising to current or recovering gambling-disorder populations.
- No partnerships with real-money sports betting operators.
- Visible disclaimers on every page that the game is not gambling.
- Self-exclusion: you can permanently close your account at any time — see how.
Self-exclusion
If you want to step back, you have two options:
- Temporary break: sign out and skip a tournament. Your account remains; you can come back when you're ready.
- Permanent closure: request account deletion via privacy@dirtywhistle.com. We close the account within 24 hours and purge personal data within 90 days. Once deleted, you cannot return under the same email — this is intentional.
